The concept of L’Ecole Des Beaux Arts (LDBA) was created by artist Sara Moffat, in part by a response to input and feedback from the community, as well as the inability to find education and sustainable supplies in the area. Sara noticed an increasing interest in people taking education into their own hands, relying on the community to learn and hone skills and trades. LDBA strives to strengthen this, as well as offer products, services and tools that support creative lives.
The structure of LDBA allows Sara to incorporate elements of her own skills and experience, producing her handmade paint, limited runs of artist products, clothing, and merchandise in house, as well as providing a platform for other artists, designers and manufacturers to teach, showcase and sell their wares.
