The Post Supply Supply is beyond honored to be one of the few retailers carrying Marie Veronique. We have had personal experiences that have changed our lives using this product. Can you speak to why MV is so special and how it is thoughtfully formulated?
I've had the pleasure of working with Kristina Holey (now Director of Skin Health for Marie Veronique) as a friend and collaborator for many years. She introduced me to Marie Veronique products and I immediately saw the effects in my own skin and our clients. Working with these products also really helped shape how I think about topical products in general. Marie Veronique is science-backed skincare that truly works, it's a pioneer in the world of clean and microbiome-friendly products, and really focuses on skin health. My goal as a practitioner is to help clients and to make recommendations that will benefit their skin holistically. I trust that these products are both necessary and complementary for optimizing skin function.
If someone wanted an intro to MV where would you recommend they start?
My recommendation is to start with products based on what your skin needs (is it dry or oily? sensitive? breakout-prone? are there signs of aging?) and also align with your skin goals (clear skin? healthy aging?), then build a regimen that will be strategic and effective. Specific products I recommend for most skin types: Barrier Restore Serum, Pure E.O. Free Oil Cleanser, and a Vitamin C Serum. And retinol. And sunscreen.
As an acupuncturist yourself can you speak to ways of living that can work in tandem with our skincare routine to boost overall skin health?
Skin can be both a reflection and a reference for what and how we eat, the products we use, how we feel and move, etc. It's this very active barrier layer between our internal systems (and overall wellbeing) and the environment we live in. It's so dynamic and connected. I do think it's important to always find balance; be really mindful of daily habits and less worried about the occasional stuff. Skin health specifics vary a little bit for everyone, but certain foundations that I encourage for clients include: more fiber, more water, proper products, restful sleep and moving your body every day.
