Hojicha, meaning “roasted tea” in Japanese, is a traditional tea made from late-harvest, roasted green tea leaves. Our organic Hojicha, from Kagoshima and Shizuoka, Japan, is the finely ground powder of upcycled roasted sencha leaves, offering notes of toasted nuts, caramel and malt. Naturally lower in caffeine than coffee or matcha, this robustly flavorful tea is perfect for those more sensitive to caffeine. Whisk it with hot water and enjoy it straight up or as a latte.
